EON Geosciences is a full-service geophysical survey company, offering airborne surveys using sensors such as magnetometers, gravity meters, electromagnetic loops (EM - both time-domain and frequency-domain) and radiometric sensors. The inception of Fortis came after Northern Strands realized there was a serious need for mining contractors to install products sold by Northern Strands to its customers worldwide. Based in Saskatoon with the intention to supply a medium range of services, Fortis recruited experienced miners, supervisors and superintendent to spearhead its corporate strategy. The objective of the company is to expand from the rigging and hoisting business into larger and longer-term mining contracting activities such as mine development, mine construction, drilling, engineering and manufacturing of mining products.
