The Gussie Wortham Foundation Inc. is a non-profit community based organization in Hartford ,CT started in 2004, by Mr. Kenneth Thompson in honor of his oldest sister, who was a fatal victim of Domestic Violence. The Gussie Wortham started out as information resource for families in the GREATER HARTFORD area and then grew into a mentor/education/athletic program. The Gussie Wortham Foundation Inc. is operated by volunteers from all walks of life. Our staff include the following: A Social Worker, Para-Educator,Pro-Am Administrator, College/High School Students and a Coach/Mentor. We are in partnerships with local community organizations such as; Greater Hartford Por-Am, S.A.L.,K-La-Rue EduCational/Arts Program,Greater Hartford Youth Male Leadership Program and C.C.A.D.V.
