Dr. Woods is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon and orthopaedic traumatologist. He received his undergraduate degree in chemistry, graduating sum laude, from University of Florida, and earned his medical degree from University of Florida College of Medicine in Gainesville, FL. He completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at University of Alabama at Birmingham Medical Center in Birmingham, AL. Dr. Woods earned his fellowship certification in orthopaedic traumatology in the Orthopaedic Trauma Surgery Fellowship program at the University of Missouri Health, at Columbia, MO. Dr. Woods is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, and he is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Orthopedic Trauma Association, and AO North America. Dr. Woods has published on reverse total shoulder readmissions and has presented research on the subject at professional medical conferences.
