Dignified And Affordable Without Compromise. Basham & Lara Funeral Care believes their dedication to the needs of each family they serve is what has given them success in the funeral business for over 2 decades. They trust that the business goes where it is invited, stays where it is well-treated, and grows where it is cultivated. With these words to abide by, the funeral planning team develops a meaningful relationship with each family that walks in the doors. There is not a request that they will not try to accommodate. Honoring the life of your loved one is the top priority. Basham & Lara Funeral Care has an on-site crematory that helps to ensure that your loved one is always in good hands. Their strict cremation procedures are performed with great care and respect for the deceased. Direct cremation is the most straightforward option and does not require a service. While many families choose this option for simplicity, they still arrange a gathering on their own time at a place to scatter the ashes. You can also choose to plan a memorial service hand-in-hand with cremation, with an urn of ashes present instead of a casket that may be displayed during a funeral. Funeral services can be chosen in parts or all together in one package. If you would like an open-casket ceremony before the funeral, you can have family and friends gather to say their final goodbyes. And a graveside ceremony is a common practice after the funeral, watching the casket get lowered into the ground. A life celebration is a party-like event with music and dancing for those who want a more casual option. You can honor the life of your loved one in any way that suits your family the most. Basham & Lara Funeral Care serves the areas of Lamont, Lost Hills, Shafter, Wasco, Tejon, Bakersfield, Delano, Taft, Buttonwillow, and Arvin. They offer military honors and veteran services. You can purchase a variety of items through the funeral home, including urns, caskets, memorials, and vaults. If you have a need for ship-out or ship-in services, including repatriation, the funeral planning team would love to help. Basham & Lara Funeral Care is located at 343 State Ave Shafter, CA 93263.
