The Southeast Texas Poison Center has been located at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas since 1959. In 1993, the Texas Legislature established the Texas Poison Center Network which includes a total of 6 poison centers. We service the following 28 counties: Angelina, Austin, Brazoria, Chambers, Colorado, Fort Bend, Galveston, Hardin, Harris, Houston, Jasper, Jefferson, Liberty, Matagorda, Montgomery, Nacogdoches, Newton, Orange, Polk, Sabine, San Augustine, San Jacinto, Shelby, Trinity, Tyler, Walker, Waller, and Wharton.
