We are looking to set up a Transition Center for rural homeless and needy families, single adults. EGM is currently helping the homeless in rural Northern Lower Michigan by connecting them with the services they need to re-establish themselves back into their communities. We also are able to provide them with temporary emergency shelter through federal and state Emergency Shelter Grants. This is only 3 days until we connect them with a service that will move them forward. Our long term goal is to establish a transition center that will give them 30+ days to reorganize their lives and strengthen their support systems.
