Mentored by the late Don Isaac Mejia, owner and proprietor of Don Pico's Mexican Bistro and Cevicheria in San Bruno, CA, he was a diamond in the rough and Isaac saw in him a great chef. Unfortunately, with time, all good things can be warped and mangled and that includes food.
