Began building kitchens as an apprentice finish carpenter trained in an old school way by a Swedish carpenter in Northern Minnesota.
Began his move back to his hometown of Los Angeles in 1974 where he went to work building kitchens for Kitchens Unlimited then located at 320 S. Robertson in Beverly Hills. Peter McCarthy, the owner of Kitchens Unlimited took David under his wing and taught him about kitchen design and construction.
