The Great American Construction of Mr. Nelson Martinez does not exist or not responding. We hired Mr. Nelson in November 2017 after Hurricane Harvey to reconstruct our home. We had multiple issues with Mr. Nelson during the construction process because he was not forth right and truthful. We made many compromises in order to get the job done so we could move back. I made a final payment in March with the expectation that he would finish the work that he had promised. We haven't seen him since then. He gave us a certificate of warranty of three years for repairs due to poor workman ship. We have found many areas that need repairs or to be redone because of sub standard work. In spite of our multiple calls, emails, and certified letter, he hasn't contacted us. In fact, the certified letter came back stating his incorrect address. He not only did a poor job in the reconstruction, but also committed fraud by giving us false warranty letter and address. We have also learnt that he never pulled city permits for the electrical and plumbing work, which he told us that he had. I am in the process of getting things fixed by hiring multiple people including electrician, carpenter and painter. It may cost us a lot. Beware of this business. I have also requested BBB to remove this business from their web site in order to remove the false impression of this business to be legitimate.
