Built in 1871 this building has 3 different floors. There is a inn with 7 different rooms all with private baths, then a main floor for your dining pleasure and the downstairs bar where legend has it was used for a bootlegging operation during prohibition and that even Al Capone was in the area since Templeton Rye was his favorite drink and that was made right here in Iowa.
