Built in 1871 this building has 3 different floors. There is a inn with 7 different rooms all with private baths, then a main floor for your dining pleasure and the downstairs bar where legend has it was used for a bootlegging operation during prohibition and that even Al Capone was in the area since Templeton Rye was his favorite drink and that was made right here in Iowa. We offer a chophouse menu and hand dipped onion rings and will be a smile to any one. So for a nice steak dinner or just a burger and homemade fries we have it all for you.
