Richard (aka Atrayew) and Bhavani Polvino of Turtle Island Moccasins (aka Earth Island Footwear) welcome you to our family of over 2,400satisfied custom shoe wearers in just about every state of the union and countries throughout the world. Richard is a second generation of custom shoe, boot and moccasin makers and Bhavani is a 2nd generation beader, bag and purse maker. And we are now starting our 3rd generation of footwear specialists with our eldest of 3 sons starting to learn the craft at the age of nine. Luke is 16 now and actively making boots and sandals. Collectively, we are now over 12600pairs made We at Turtle Island look at the crafting of leather footwear as "As a Service to Pleasure your feet" we create footwear for any purpose so your imagination could be our creation.

We offer classic Spanish espadrilles/alpargatas in the U.S. and Mexico. Our espadrilles/alpargatas are 100% hand-made in Spain. don't be fooled by those made in China or India, they tend to break in less than 2 months.
