I'm a full-time glass beadmaker. I began making beads by lampwork (melting glass at a torch) in 2003, after leaving the medical field. All my beads are handmade exclusively by me using Italian and German glass, in my small home studio in Pecos, Texas. I sell loose beads mainly, but sometimes make finished pieces of jewelry as well. RMFAC was founded by Mrs. Rose Washington Metzger during the Harlem Renaissance in 1932. Becoming an inspiration and mentor to both her daughter and grandchildren, Rebecca Rose join the studio shortly after graduating from Carnegie-Mell University in 1977. As a team the studio undertook one its first major commissions for Community Legal Services in 1979 and following produced serveral public art works for the City of Philadelphia under the percent for art program. Julie Giordano, Fine Artist, has been doing murals, portraits, drawings as commission work for more than 29 years. Her Mural work has been featured in "Better Homes and Gardens" Magazine and "Detroit Monthly" Magazine. Julie had been a teacher for twenty years and would mentor gifted students by bringing them on painting jobs with her in order to get them trained for real life, not just artistically but in other areas of employment. Many went on to get better jobs because of their experience. Bringing teens one at a time was not enough impact so Painting with Patience Project was begun in order to assist in the training and education of more teens at one time. The results were fantastic, not only for the teens and the volunteers but also the communites we reached.

Located in a century-old renovated textile warehouse, The Millenaissance Studio at Golden Belt is both a working art studio and a gallery for myself and three other artists. I create realistic oil paintings using traditional techniques and I also provide restoration services for 19th and 20th century oil paintings.
