Exploring a beautiful landscape can generate emotions of awe and admiration as we encounter the majesty of an unknown and novel place. I express such feelings by adding a surreal and magical feel to my artworks. The feminine figures in my artworks accentuate the boldness and elegance of delving into unknown, mysterious, and dreamlike territories. I discovered my own unique way of incorporating the awe of nature and the boldness of the feminine figure by incorporating real pieces of places I have travelled to into my artworks, through using genuine and precious materials such as seashells, sand, withered flowers and leaves, high quality glitter, and liquid gold to name a few. Through this kind of mixed media art I manage to create unique textures into my artworks that create a sense of kinetic and dynamic energy into my images. All the artworks are painted on high quality cotton deluxe stretched canvases. The depth of texture representing unique natural elements coupled with the elegance and boldness of the feminine power reflect my own unique way of expressing the adventurous nature of our human soul and our urge to explore the world around us.
