Located in beautiful Central Pennsylvania, Kimchee Girl, LLC makes a premium, authentic Korean vegan kimchee. My family has always grown food and feed our family from the harvest. My parents were farmers in the mountains of Seoul, South Korea. Even after legally immigrating to the United States, they continued that tradition. Growing up with my four siblings, my mother, and father, we all worked in our backyard garden to put food on the table. I learned an invaluable lesson from my parents: a strong work ethic and always being prepared to provide for yourself. A mainstay of our diet, like most Koreans, is kimchee. My parents would spend hours working, preparing the cabbage, ginger, garlic, Korean hot pepper, and all the rest of the ingredients before the process of making kimchee... and it is a process. That is how I learned to make my kimchee from my parents. Making kimchee is a labor of love. It's hard work, but satisfying to know that "YOU" enjoy my kimchee. Besides, eating healthy is essential, and kimchee has live probiotics (beneficial bacteria) and has high levels of vitamin A, B, and C, and antioxidants.
