Historic Dinner Train offering a variety of dining experiences onboard mahogany paneled dining cars from 1912 & 1918. Train is pulled by WWII vintage diesel locomotives on track originally laid in 1880. Diners travel through the northwoods and along the scenic Namekagon River during these 1 1/2 to 3 hour roundtrips. Food is cooked fresh in onboard kitchen and complete beverage service is available in the lounge car. Train operates from Mother's Day weekend to weekend before Christmas. Regular schedule each weekend with expanded schedule during July and August. Special events throughout the year. Railroad also offers local freight switching service and car storage for 500+ freight cars. Railroad is currently building new classification yard and shop facility.
