It has a long history of supporting the community, providing cash scholarships to Arcadia High School graduating seniors, and internships for student-journalists and digital artists. The Arcadia News has sponsored community events like the "Team Taylor Arcadia Family Fun Run," Arcadia Pride functions to benefit the area schools, both public and private.
Additionally, the News has been a proud sponsor of local charities like A Mighty Voice, a nonprofit organization that promotes research, awareness, and support for families of pediatric motor neuron diseases. Additionally, since 2008, the Arcadia News has been recognized by the Andrew Shapiro Foundation as one of the top community newspapers in the country for breast cancer support and coverage.
In 2013 an idea for local charity and support was instituted in the form of the Arcadia News Assisting Neighbors program. The first organization supported during the holiday season was Los Ninos Hospital, a small children’s hospital in Phoenix. Additional local needs will be met with the Arcadia News acting as the conduit between those in need and readers.
