St. Mark Baptist Church has been part of the Waterloo, Iowa community since 1980. Although we celebrate our rich history and lives transformed, we are a group of people who want to be a part of what God is doing now in our community. Although we meet in a building here in Waterloo, Iowa, we believe that the “church” is way more than a building. The church is people. People united around a mission. We are a group of imperfect people of a wide-range of ages that seeks to be transformed by Jesus and share that good news with the world around us. We seek to be a Christ-centered church.
