Ron and Michelle Laudon started Micron in a garage in The Colony Texas in 1993. Micron's first machine was a used CNC Bridgeport Knee Mill with a Boss 3 control. Later that year we bought a brand new Sharp Conventional Mill. At the time Micron was started Ron was working full time for E.W. Johnson Co. programming & running the CNC Mill Department. Michelle would run the CNC Mill during the day while raising two small children. Ron would run the CNC Mill at night and sometimes into the morning. December of 1995 is when Ron left E.W. Johnson so that he and Michelle could run Micron fulltime. December of 1995 is also when Micron moved its operations to Lewisville Texas. From there, we built the company from referrals into what it is today. Micron hired Steve Coleman in 2006 to take over the programming from Ron, and as it turned out Steve was more than just a programmer. Soon after hiring Steve, Micron made him there Director Of Operations. June of 2011 is when we moved into our new building in Lewisville Texas. The new address is 635 and 645 Hembry St.

We are currently in a new facility in a new location, but we have 40 years of collective and comprehensive experience in fabrication welding. Our CNC Plasma cutter has a 6' X 12' table, with a CNC Pipe Cutter. We have a 78", 50 Ton Press Brake. We have a 16" X 60" Lathe. We do custom design and fabrication in a broad range of catagories.
