My photo sessions are relaxed and, above all else, FUN! I want your children to be their silly, playful selves, while I take as many photos as there are photo opportunities. You should plan to bring any special toys, books, blankets, etc. that your child is attached to at the moment. Adding this personal touch will help make your child more at ease and the photos more meaningful for years to come. My name is Melissa Whitten and I am a 17 year old photographer from Altamont, IL. I have my own indoor studio. I take all my photos with my Canon Rebel XSi digital SLR camera. My sitting fees and print prices are very reasonable and I'd like to think that the quality is good as well.

I developed a passion for photography when I purchased my first Canon AE-1. It was 1983 and I was in Europe serving in the U.S. military. While there I used my new Canon and took advantage of the people and sites around me. The images captured were so beautiful even to this day they bring back vivid memories of people I saw and places I visited. That experience stayed with me. It showed how integral photos can be in preserving memories and inspires me to do so for my clients. My style is candid, natural and intimate and my goal is to capture the best image of my clients so their memorable moments can be enjoyed for a long time.
