When folks see my wall portraits their first question is, "Is this a photograph or a painting?" Actually it is a little of both. We start with a relaxed photo session that your child will actually enjoy. Forget glaring lights, posing, and pressure. Welcome to country play! If weather permits, we will do fun outdoor play where the child is encouraged to wander and explore our 4 acres of Smoky Mountain foothills. I photograph children being themselves without adult demands. Later I spend many hours enhancing the best of the photographs and changing them into painterly images by the magic of digital manipulation. Each image is treated differently so that it artistically expresses the different facets of the child's personality. Images are printed on watercolor paper or canvas.
