Kimberly Burton came from a background in corporate event and incentive travel planning, but always had a passion for fine confections. While creating events at exclusive California properties including The Ritz-Carlton, The St. Regis, The Peninsula Hotel and Montage Hotel and Resorts, hoteliers were always looking for unique gift amenities which would not only reflect the discriminating taste of their guests, but also be indicative of the relaxed refinement of Southern California. Kimberly took her passion for creating gourmet small batch caramels and began providing these delicious treats to hotel guests for weddings, corporate events and VIP gifts. Made locally on Balboa Island, these sea salt caramels became a favorite of both locals and visitors alike. Today many companies rely on artificial flavorings and colors to create their caramel but Three B's uncompromising commitment to using only the finest, 100% natural ingredients creates a decadent caramel that's rich, buttery and incredibly delicious! Hotlix was started in the early 1980's by Norman Cougar (true name withheld at the request of his relatives). The Hotlix? Cinnamon Sucker was the first product to be introduced. In 1982 Norman purchased a candy store in the downtown area of Pismo Beach. He claims to have chosen the site due to the close proximity to the beach. However, we say it had something to do with being near no less than five drinking establishments! Rumor has it the idea to create the first lollipop with an edible insect originated in one of these establishments. Norman Cougar's vision was realized when he created the Tequila Worm Sucker. Fortunately, he didn't stop there! Ants, Crickets, Scorpions, and Worms are all included in our candy today.

MY MOM, AND THE REST OF MY FAMILY, ALWAYS LOVED WHEN I WOULD MAKE MY HOMEMADE BUTTER TOFFEE FOR THEM DURING THE CHRISTMAS HOLIDAYS, AND EVERY YEAR WE WOULD GO THROUGH THE SAME ROUTINE OF THEM TELLING ME HOW THEY FELT I SHOULD MAKE AND SELLING MY BUTTER TOFFEE FOR OTHERS TO ENJOY AS MUCH AS THEY DID!!! FINALLY, AFTER HEARING ABOUT THIS FOR A FEW YEARS I FINALLY GAVE IN AND SAID, "WHY NOT," AND HERE I AM!!!
