Paradise Valley Aikido Group offers training for individuals of all ages. Aikido is a self-defense martial art practiced in over 110 countries. Paradaisu Aikikai (Japanese translation) is located in Livingston, MT in the heart of the gorgeous Paradise Valley along the banks of the famed Yellowstone River. This eclectic community is home to a vibrant world of ranches, wildlife, artisans and outdoor enthusiasts. Aikido is a often described as the only martial art that draws from Japan's Samurai roots and focuses on a peaceful solution to all conflict. It is a dynamic form of physical budo, yet scaled to the physical ability of those who practice the art. Paradaisu Aikikai head instructor, Tony Blomert, is a well known authority and "best selling" author on the subject. He has nearly 40 years experience in the martial arts and Aikido. The dojo (school or training hall) is located in the Livingston Martial Arts Fitness Center on East Park St. There is ample parking at the facility. The school is affiliated with Aikido Schools of Ueshiba, founded by Mitsugi Saotome Shihan. Saotome Shihan is the last and longest tenured "live-in" student of the Aikido's founder Morihei Ueshiba (O'Sensei) and training circullum is based on his teachings. Paradaisu Aikikai is a traditional Aikido dojo recognized by the International Aikido Federation (Aikido World Headquarters) located in Tokyo Japan. Additionally, Paradaisu Aikikai is sponsored by Big Sky Aikido of Bozeman MT, Gregory Olson (6th dan). Members of the Livingston dojo have receiporical benefits at the Bozeman location. As well as, may attend any of the regional Aikido Schools of Ueshiba workshop and seminars.
