Dr. Leroy became a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at Rowan University, before completing her residency at the University of Pennsylvania, and fellowship at the Main Line Health System in Pennsylvania. Dr. Leroy will be seeing patients at our RMG Arapahoe in Littleton Clinic, RMG Arapahoe Southwest clinic, and will be performing procedures at the Arapahoe Endoscopy Center, Littleton Hospital, Sky Ridge Medical Center and UCHealth Hospital in Highlands Ranch. Dr. Rhee earned his medical degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI. Dr. Rhee went on to complete his residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Gastroenterology from the same school before moving to Colorado. Dr. Rhee has trained in all aspects of GI care, with special emphasis on Advanced Endoscopic Procedures, including Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) and Endoscopic Ultrasound. Dr. Rhee is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association, the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and the Crohn?s and Colitis Foundation of America. Dr. Rhee has developed a special interest in inflammatory bowel disease. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.

Dr. Anouna completed his Bachelor of Arts degree at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ, graduating Cum Laude. He went on to earn his medical degree from S.U.N.Y. Downstate Medical College in Brooklyn, NY. Dr. Anouna completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Kings County Hospital, Downstate Medical Center and finished his fellowship in Gastroenterology at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver.

Dr. Rana completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery degree at Khyber Medical College in Peshawar, Pakistan. He went on to complete his residency in Internal Medicine from Michigan State University in East Lansing, MI. ?Dr. Rana finished his fellowship in Gastroenterology at Michigan State University and at the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, PA. Dr. Rana is a member of the American College of Physicians, the American Medical Association and the American College of Gastroenterology. Dr. Springer received his Bachelor of Arts degree at Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH. He went on to the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in Camden, NJ, where he received his medical degree. He then returned to New Hampshire to complete his residency in Internal Medicine at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH. After a move out west, Dr. Springer completed his fellowship in Gastroenterology at the University of Colorado in Denver, CO. Dr. Mackenzie attended the University of Utah in Salt Lake City for his fellowship in Gastroenterology. Dr. Mackenzie has won many awards including the Virginia Schuman Scholarship from the University of ?Colorado School of Medicine and the Howard Hughes Research Grant and President?s Scholarship from Colorado State University. Dr. Andrew S. Korson is a board certified gastroenterologist bringing vast experience and fluency in the Spanish language to the RMG Lakewood clinic and Lakewood Endoscopy. He earned his medical degree from New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York and completed his internship and residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Mass. as well as a clinical fellowship in medicine at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Korson has advanced training in interventional endoscopy as well as pancreatic and biliary endoscopy. Throughout his career, he has obtained prestigious honors, including election into the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Honor Medical Society, a recipient of the Harvard Medical School Excellence in Tutoring Award and was awarded with the University of Colorado Travel Grant among many other honors. Dr. Lawrence received his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, PA. He then attended Fitzsimons Army Medical Center in Aurora, CO, for his residency and fellowship programs in Gastroenterology. Dr. Lawrence has received many awards and honors including his military service in the U.S. Army where he left the United States Army as a Major and received the Meritorious Service Medal in 1992 and the United States Army-Army Achievement Medal in 1994 and 1996. Dr. Lawrence is also an Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America. Dr. Lawrence was the Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Colorado from 1996-2000 and the Medical Director for the GI Endoscopy Unit at the Denver VA Medical Center from 1996-1999. He has given presentations at several national and international GI meetings and has authored numerous publications in medical and GI journals. Dr. McCabe has a philosophy of individualized care and placing emphasis on the particular needs and concerns of his patients. He believes in strong patient/provider communication skills, as he wants his patients to fully understand their disease state and treatment recommendations. Dr McCabe has a particular interest in diagnosing, staging and endoscopic therapies for GI oncology patients and is passionate about treating pancreatobiliary disease as he specializes in ERCP, diagnostic/therapeutic EUS, cholangioscopy and endoscopic mucosal resection. Dr. McCabe graduated from the University of Virginia with distinction, double majoring in biology and economics, prior to obtaining his medical degree from Georgetown University He subsequently completed his residency and fellowship training at the University of Virginia. Dr. Rafiq completed her gastroenterology fellowship at the State University of New York in 2005. She worked at Presbyterian Medical Group as an attending gastroenterologist for four years before joining the University of New Mexico in 2009 to pursue advanced training in endoscopic ultrasound. Dr Rafiq completed her endoscopic ultrasound training in 2010. Dr. Rafiq specializes in pancreaticobiliary disease, endoscopic ultrasound, endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography, Barretts esophagus, radio frequency ablation, single balloon enteroscopy and video capsule endoscopy.

Dr. Bilir earned his medical degree from Hacettepe University in Turkey. He went on to complete his internship in Internal Medicine at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, IL, and finished his Internal Medicine training at S.U.N.Y. in Buffalo, NY. Dr. Bilir did his fellowship at the University of Michigan where he stayed on as Faculty for one year, and was awarded the Young Investigator Award by the American Association for the Study of Liver Disease. Prior to joining Rocky Mountain Gastroenterology, Dr. Bilir was asked to join the University of Colorado as an Assistant Professor of Medicine and Associate Director of the Liver Transplantation Department where he oversaw rapid growth of the program and was involved with the first living donor transplantation in Colorado. He authored over 20 publications and received a NIA Grant for Liver Transplantation. In addition, his work was recognized by the American Association for the Study of Liver Disease.
