Dr. Mittal graduated from medical school in December 2000 and subsequently completed an Internal Medicine residency at the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research in Chandigarh, India. He pursued further training in the United States with a residency and fellowship at The University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston. He also received his Master's degree in Clinical Science in clinical research. Before joining Kelsey-Seybold, Dr. Mittal served as an Assistant Professor at Baylor College of Medicine in the field of Gastroenterology and Hepatology from 2012-2016. Dr. Mittal is a member of the American Gastroenterology Association (AGA), the American Porphyria Foundation and the American College of Gastroenterology. Dr. Nathani earned his medical degree at the Dow Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan in 1987. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Gastroenterology at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. Relocating to the United States, Dr. Hussain completed his internship and residency at Highland Hospital/University of Rochester in 1994 and 1996, respectively. Dr. Yu remained at UTHealth to complete a fellowship in Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition in 2025 and joined Kelsey-Seybold in August 2025. She also completed a Gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston in 2018. Patients see Dr. Bhatt for a wide variety of Gastroenterology concerns, including gastric reflux disease, difficulty swallowing, constipation or diarrhea, blood in the stool, and abdominal pain.
