Nevada Pediatric Specialists is proud to offer comprehensive and personalized care to every patient who enters our doors. Voted one of the top 100 doctors in Las Vegas, Dr. Harold Zilberman, founded the practice in 2008 with one goal: provide the highest quality health care to patients in the community under 18 years old.

Oshiro Pediatrics is a small pediatric practice with four providers seeing patients. Dr. Oshiro and Dr. Hom have practiced pediatrics in Las Vegas since 1996. They are married and have two children born in 1997 and 2002. Dr. Oshiro did his undergraduate studies at Stanford while Dr. Hom did hers at Harvard. They both went to medical school at Tufts. Dr. Oshiro did his pediatric residency at LSU New Orleans while Dr. Hom did her pediatric residency at Keesler Air Force Base. Dr. Oshiro and Dr. Hom are both board certified by the ABP and fellows of the AAP. DNP Cerdan joined the practice in 2009 and PA Knowles joined in 2018. Noelle Cerdan, CPNP DNP joined the practice in 2009. She is a board certified pediatric nurse practitioner. She completed both her Bachelor's degree in nursing, Masters of Science in Nursing, and Doctorate of Nursing Practice at the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV). She is a registered nurse (RN). A pediatric nurse practitioner provides services just like a physician's assistant (PA) or a family nurse practitioner (NP). A pediatric nurse practitioner, however, has had more extensive and specialized pediatric training. Whereas a PA or a NP trains to take care of both pediatric patients and adult patients, a PNP trains solely in the care of pediatric patients. Amanda Knowles, PA-C is a board certified Physician Assistant. She joined Oshiro Pediatrics in May 2018. PA Knowles was the valedictorian at Community College High School in Las Vegas, Nevada. She graduated summa cum laude from Southern Utah University with a B.S. in Athletic Training. She received her M.S. in Physician Assistant Studies from Touro University in Henderson, Nevada. Her prior work experience has included working as a physical therapy technician, scribe and billing assistant at an orthopedic office, and head athletic trainer at Palo Verde High school. She is a BOC Certified Athletic Trainer. Prior to joining Oshiro Pediatrics, PA Knowles worked at The Pediatric Center in Las Vegas Nevada.
