Let me tell you who we are. We are a community of believers grounded around a love for the Lord and being family. We are located in Polk county, Florida between Bartow, Lake Wales and Winter Haven. We are in our 65th year here in the great community of Alturas. Our desire is to be a community of believers reaching our neighborhood, county, state and world for Jesus. Where we stand on the Issues The church of Jesus Christ has always faced issues requiring that it take a stand. Among many, Riverside Baptist Church considers the following issues to require a positional statement. 1. The Bible is the inspired and inerrant Word of God and has been preserved infallible for the English-speaking world in what is commonly called "The Authorized Version of the King James' Bible." 2. Riverside Baptist Church is an independent and "fundamental" Baptist church. By independent is meant that the church holds no membership in any organization, ecclesiastical denomination, ecumenical council, church convention or fellowship. The church is free of outside control. The church is "fundamental" in that it believes that the Bible is basic, primary, foundational, i.e.

Gulf Coast Fellowship is Palm Harbor's "friendliest" church. Formerly known as Palm Harbor Baptist Church, the church changed its name in 2004 to reflect a renewed ministry focus and renovated facilities. Our church believes strongly in supporting not only local evangelistic missions work but we support missions activity on a much broader scale as well.
