Singing lessons

Activities will include a variety of musical games that will incorporate singing, dancing, and playing instruments. Classes use games and movement to enhance pitch recognition, simple melody structure, and family instrumentation. All students also have an introduction to piano skills. Classes are vocally focused, however, there is also a concentration in musical language and rhythmic exercises. Students will begin to learn concepts that outline basic music theory. Proper vocal breathing, posture, and tone production will be outlined weekly. Also, students will begin to learn musical terminology such as adagio, fortissimo, crescendo, etc. Instructing in all genres of music including Pop, Jazz, Gospel, Country, Rock, Classical, etc. Over 23 years of performing experience, 15 years of recording experience, 10 years of teaching experience, holding a B.A. in Music (Vocal) and have the ability and experience to work with the young singer and adult performer alike!

SPECIAL SUMMER RATES OFFERED FOR NEW STUDENTS! All ages accepted, adults and children, special needs students. Private lessons only. Theory instruction included. Students participate in two recitals per year: one formal dress recital and one casual dress recital. Music must be memorized for recitals. Lessons are 30 minutes weekly for piano and 45 minutes weekly for voice. Piano students must have a piano or keyboard to practice on daily. Vocie students must have a long mirror to practice in front of and a tape recorder for lessons and daily practicing. Request a parent or caretaker to be present during lessons of children below age of 12 years. Piano lessons $10 for 30 minutes. Voice lessons & coaching $22 for 30 minutes, $30 for 45 minutes.
