When dining out, the McGhees encountered challenges in finding a place where Southern comfort foods were a regular part of the menu. They began preparing a mix of eclectic Southern meals to appease their own appetites and eventually began serving these meals to family, friends, & acquaintances. After receiving overwhelming praise and positive feedback, the McGhees realized that there were others in their immediate community that were looking for the same type of meal. Through prayers and diving confirmation, Magnolia Charm was born and is creatively named as a tribute to the State of Mississippi (where the Magnolia is the state flower and where half of the McGhee family was born & raised); and the city of Baltimore (nicknamed "Charm City") where the McGhees currently reside.
