Dr. Jerry George Medical Oncology & Hematology Dr. George joined the team of premier physicians at New York Cancer & Blood Specialists in the summer of 2013. After receiving his Bachelor of Science; Life Sciences through the Accelerated BS/DO Program at New York Institute of Technology, Dr. Jerry George obtained his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine through the same institution. Upon the completion of his D.O., Dr. George completed his Categorical Internal Medicine Internship and Residency at the New York Medical College at Westchester Medical Center. To conclude his post-graduate training, Dr. Jerry George completed his Hematology and Medical Oncology Fellowship at Lenox Hill Hospital.

Dr. Chu is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology, and Oncology. After receiving his BS in Biology from Cornell University, Dr. Chu went on to receive his MD at St. George's University. He did his internship and residency training at Stony Brook University Hospital. He completed his fellowship training at Stony Brook University Hospital and was named Chief Fellow during his last year. Dr. Chu has faculty appointment of Clinical Instructor and was elected to the Stony Brook Hospital medical board. He is Chief of the Department of Hematology and Oncology at Mather Hospital and St. Charles Hospital. At Mather Hospital, he serves as Chairman of the Cancer Committee and Chairman of the Breast Program Leadership Committee.

Dr. Richard Northorn received a Bachelor of Arts with emphasis in science from Hofstra University in 1997. Richard continued his education at Touro College School of Health Sciences receiving a Bachelor of Science in Health Science and a Master of Science in Physical Therapy in 2002 and a clinical Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2006. Dr. Northorn has been the co-owner of a general outpatient physical therapy office since 2009. Richard has been an adjunct professor/ guest lecturer at Touro College. He became a Certified Lymphatic Therapist, receiving his certification through The Academy of Lymphatic Studies. He also furthers his own education by taking multiple advanced manual therapy courses to continually improve his treatment skills.

Dr. Mitchell G. Kirsch Nephrologist Dr. Kirsch grew up in Brooklyn, New York. He majored in biology graduating from Cornell University in 1977. While he was a student at Cornell, he played varsity football. Dr. Kirsch attended New York Medical College and received an Honors in Medicine Award in 1981. He completed Internship and Residency at Nassau County Medical Center attaining the position of Chief Medical Resident. He was appointed Clinical Assistant Instructor in Medicine at the State University of New York at Stony Brook. Dr. Kirsch completed his Nephrology Fellowship at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in 1986 and since then has been in private nephrology practice.

Dr. Robert Hendler Medical Oncology & Hematology Robert Hendler, MD is a skilled physician who earned his medical degree from St. George's University of Medicine. He completed his residency in internal medicine and his fellowship in hematology and oncology at Stony Brook University Hospital. Dr. Hendler has been dedicated to research since 2013. He assisted with the study, the design, and co-authoring the grant proposal for a pilot clinical study to investigate the role of probiotics in colorectal cancer patients receiving chemotherapy. Dr. Hendler was also heavily involved with the research and analysis of clinical trial publications on the adverse effects of Ipilimumab.

Dr. Charles G. Bleecher is a native Long Islander who graduated from Patchogue Medford High School. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Stony Brook University and his Medical Degree from Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse. He subsequently completed his internship and residency training at University Hospital in Stony Brook in Internal Medicine. He is Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Geriatric Medicine.

Dr. Gilet received a medical degree from SUNY Upstate Medical University in 2005. He completed his internship in internal medicine at Winthrop University Hospital. Afterward, Dr. Gilet completed his radiology residency at SUNY Stony Brook University Medical Center where he was the Chief Resident. Thereafter, he went to New York University Medical Center to complete his fellowship in MRI with subspecialty training in body, cardiovascular, musculoskeletal and spine imaging. Dr. Gilet currently holds an appointment as an Assistant Professor of Radiology at New York Medical College where he was awarded Teacher of the Year for the Radiology Residency Program in 2016. He has written over 20 peer-reviewed articles, presented at over 100 national meetings, and is a member of the American College of Radiology, the Radiological Society of North America, the American Roentgen Ray Society, and the Society for Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance. Dr. William DiScipio Psycho Oncologist Dr. William "Bill" DiScipio is a licensed NYS psychologist who adheres to the "scientist-professional" model of clinical practice. Dr. Bill received a Masters Degree in Experimental Behavioral Psychology from Queens College, City University of New York. He completed a clinical psychology internship at the the Maudsley Hospital, London England and graduated from the University of London, Institute of Psychiatry with a Ph.D. in the psychology of personality typology. His scientific achievements include over 50 professional articles, one book and a US patent for a biofeedback device for treating diurnal incontinence.
