The Work of Art was organized exclusively for the purpose of raising funds to support the reintegration of arts education into classrooms, especially those classrooms without access to sources of funding for the arts. The Work of Art was formed due to the widespread issue of budgetary and programming cuts to arts curricula. It has been proven that art education helps with brain activity, can help children understand other academic subjects like math and science, nurtures innovation, aides in the development of self esteem, communication, problem solving and critical thinking skills. Increased funding in the arts gives students access to well-rounded learning experiences within the classroom.
