The Center for Health Education, on the campus of Samaritan Pacific Communities Hospital in Newport, is a regional hub for health-related activities that help people prevent disease and manage chronic conditions to improve quality of life and lower health care costs. The two-story, 12,000-square-foot building includes a community resource center, meeting rooms for support groups and health-related classes, skills and computer labs for health care professionals as well as a teaching kitchen.

Patricia specializes in individualizing care to your needs. She has over 35 years of mastering healthcare delivery in multiple healthcare environments and under multiple types of circumstances. She's passionate about helping people achieve an exceptional life by teaching them how to apply both nonpharmacological skills and best practices for utilizing psychiatric medications. While working in forensic psychiatry in the Colorado Corrections system she completed a post-master’s certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She holds a Master’s degree in Nursing specializing in the practice of a Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Colorado. While working with psychiatric geriatric patients in the Eastern Colorado Veteran’s Health Care System, she acquired national certification as a Geriatric Nurse Practitioner. She holds National Certification in all three specialties of practice and hold active practice licenses in OR, CO, and FL.
