I have enjoyed working as a counselor since 1998. I have a Washington state License in both Mental Health Counseling and Drug and Alcohol Counseling. I specialize in treating: Depression, Anxiety, Grief and Loss, Trauma, PTSD, Anger Issues, Family Conflict, Life Transitions, Low Self-Esteem, and Substance Abuse Issues. I use a variety of evidenced based theories and treatment modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Art Therapy and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). Research has shown EMDR to be one of the most effective treatments for helping with trauma at times other "stuck" feelings such as anxiety or addiction issues.
