Our Philosophy I believe in adjusting my teaching style to match the goals, abilities, and level of advancement of each individual student, while providing an encouraging, nurturing positive environment. For students who are preparing for a career in music, lessons focus more intensely on the musical and technical skills needed to succeed in a competitive environment. Many of my students pursue violin studies as a life-enhancing experience. They are taught with the same care and attention while stressing the musical and performance skills needed to thrive as youth orchestra musicians, college music minors, and future community orchestra players. When I first hear a potential student play, I often observe that they are studying repertoire beneath their level and moving at a slower pace than required. I believe in moving rapidly through repertoire and technical studies so that students can reach the level of skill they are capable of and stay excited about playing the violin.
