The Rapid Road to Reading learning center provides one-to-one interactive instruction for students in K - 8th grade. Utilizing an organized, sequential approach, the Rapid Road to Reading comprehensive program incorporates a variety of evidence-based instructional methods that have resulted in high rates of literacy achievement. While learning to recognize the sounds of numerous letter combinations and commonly used sight words, our students master the skills needed to crack the code of reading. The emphasis on expanding the student's vocabulary and teaching him/her to associate nouns with images and verbs with actions is integral to improving his/her reading comprehension.

Bach to Rock in Leawood, KS provides music lessons for students of all ages and skill levels. Instruments we teach include guitar, piano, drums, violin, trumpet & more! We are also the home of Beat Refinery DJ School which offers Mixing, Scratching and Music Production classes. B2R birthday parties and seasonal camps are great opportunities to play & learn music with your friends and make new ones! We also have early childhood classes for toddlers and preschoolers. Take your skills to the next level in a Glee Club or Rock Band. B2R offers opportunities for students to perform in venues around Johnson County & Kansas City. Private Lessons (7+): Learning to play music should be fun it’s called “play” for a reason! Individual lessons develop a student’s musical and instrumental skills by combining time-tested and innovative techniques. Lessons are offered in piano, guitar, bass, drums, voice, strings, woodwinds, brass, and others. Early Education (6m–7): We are a music education center for students of all ages. Our early education classes offer energetic and fun age-appropriate music lessons that stimulate and develop fine motor control – skills that are essential for future success in playing an instrument. Kids N Keys (5-7): This is a computer/keyboard group class where students use a musical computer software program called Music Ace to start learning to identify and sight-read piano music. The students then switch over to the keyboards and apply what they have learned. The class introduces the students to the fundamentals of music and piano playing in a fun group DJ Lessons: The Beat Refinery is a school teaching the craft and tools you’ll need to become a real DJ. We combine traditional methods with new technology in a casual, fun atmosphere to develop super-star DJs! From beginners to seasoned pros, we have programs for all. Summer Camps (4+): B2R’s unique approach makes it possible for students with no previous musical training to be rocking out with a band in a matter of hours. Bands and groups are coordinated by age, grade and/or ability level. B2R teachers transform music instruction from a solitary activity to a joyous and exciting “team sport.” Bands or group ensembles learn a variety of classic rock and current pop songs and even compose original music. All students perform in a concert at the end of the week, record in our state-of-the-art studios and leave with a digitally mastered CD of songs recorded by their band or group ensemble.
