Our sole mission is to provide volunteer and financial support to the U.S. Army Women's Museum at Fort Lee, Virginia. Since 2008, the Friends of the Army Women's Museum Association has provided much needed financial support to the Museum's free Kindergarten through twelfth grade, 'Hands on History' education programs. Additionally we have: Funded an education assistant and an educator to adapt the curriculum to serve special needs students. Enabled the museum to share the stories of Army women and the history of our nation with over 10,000 students from nine counties in central Virginia each year. Enabled the museum to Become the first museum in Virginia to offer education programs for special needs children, which allows all children in a school to participate equally
