Bicoastal.com was launched in 1996 during the infancy of the Worldwide Web. That same year, company owner Chris Kilbourne -- a journalist and lawyer by training -- was asked to help build and then manage the first website for the Bergen Record newspaper in New Jersey. Chris later moved down to Philly.com, where he managed the websites for the Philadelphia Inquirer and Philadelphia Daily News.
