I am a therapeutic and educational consultant for parents of struggling children and teens who need to find a safe, reputable therapeutic program or school so their child can get the help and healing they need to be successful. Opened in 2022, Misty Nissen Consulting helps match kids with the therapeutic program that would be the best fit for them. I believe that all children and teens want healthy relationships and a positive identity so I work alongside your child’s team to help achieve that goal. With masters degrees in Educational and Organizational leadership, a bachelor’s degree in education, and an in-progress doctorate in Community Care and Counseling with a focus in traumatology, I am uniquely suited to serve your family well. Prior to entering the mental health field in 2019, I was a teacher and taught students ranging from preschool through eighth grade. Now, I help overwhelmed, exhausted parents who never imagined being in this situation navigate the therapeutic field by providing guidance, support, and tailored therapeutic recommendations so they can take a breath, and know their child is in the right place to get the help they need.
