Psychological Preventative Health (PPH Therapy) was formed in Idaho Falls, Idaho, in 2019, by Melanie Richardson. Melanie’s experience is in private practice as well as for the Idaho Army National Guard. She has worked with individuals, couples, families, and groups. In addition, she has been part of behavioral health boards, behavioral health planning councils, and public speaking, including briefings for the Military, Native Americans, First Responders, and other community events. She recognized that while therapy/treatment was helpful, it was a little late in order to be effective. Hence, Preventative was added to the name for the focus of treatment and therapy. The United States is a combative society in regard to medicine, while Eastern Medicine focuses on prevention. PPH’s primary focus is on mental health prevention and bridging the gap between Eastern and Western medicine.
