Founded in 2003, Lowney Architecture is a small firm practicing the art and business of Architecture in downtown Oakland. Ken Lowney started the firm as a sole proprietor and Designer, and John Skrivanich joined him as Technical and Managing Partner in 2004. Building on their backgrounds at the large firms of SOM, HOK, and Gensler, Ken and John have focused their talents primarily on commercial and retail projects Lowney Architecture is staffed to provide expertise through all phases of design and construction. Services provided include urban planning, store planning, landscape design, architectural design and visualization, construction documentation, project management, permit services, bid assistance, construction administration and LEEDTM certification administration.
