ALEXANDRA SHEETS SAIKLEY ARCHITECTURE: My aim is to create beautiful places that will be loved by the people who use them. I create holistic, sustainable, healthful designs for new buildings, remodels, and historic preservation projects. I feel that beauty in architecture comes from the harmony of all parts of the design forming a coherent whole, where each part is also beautiful in itself. I work with color, pattern, materials, and natural and artificial light to intensify the beauty of the spaces. Physical comfort, sounds, and tactile qualities also contribute to the experience of beauty. I work closely with clients to harmonize the building with their lives and to create practical designs that optimize the budget and use of space. Our projects range from the smallest home remodels to new homes, multi-family housing and commercial and public spaces.
