He loves to take pictures with a little Polaroid camera I gave him when he was two. I started taking pictures on a more serious level after my husband gave me my first film camera in 2005 right before he passed. My photography journey started when I opened a Restoration Hardware catalog and saw headshots of their designers that expressed their creative personalities through black and white photography. This style became one of my favorites. My other love is old masters paintings. I often rely on this style when I create portraits of children to show the beautiful world they see through their eyes. These two styles are predominant in my photography.

Little Peeps Photography is a professional portrait studio in Katy, TX. I am Francyla Morkena, a Brazilian native with a newborn of my own and the founder of Little Peeps Photography. I specialize in producing stunning visuals and capturing warm moments. My studio is known for high-resolution images at great prices. When I quit my job to pursue photography, I wanted my business to be different. I love to get the random, spontaneous shots that say so much more than a posed photo. My belief is that you need to start with a great shot, and use editing tools to "tweak" to what the client wants. For example taking a color photo and converting to black and white or sepia. I am located in Katy, but do work all around the Houston area.
