We are influenced by Montessori, Reggio Emilia, and unschooling. We focus on values which support the development of environmentally conscious, self-aware, and intellectually curious world citizens who respect the Earth and each other, collaborate and peacefully communicate, recognize the worth and beauty in all things. Inside the environment is Montessori; outside is part farm, part petting zoo, part wildlife refuge. On a daily basis, we will interact with chickens, goats, sheep, geese, guinea fowl, peacocks and all manner of six- and eight-legged creatures - sometimes horses, emus, and cows, too. We create and discover experiences which enrich our understanding of the natural world and bring us closer to Earth. It follows pretty naturally that it brings us closer to one another as well.
