We’re Pontiac Doll & Toy Museum, and we’ve been a museum and toy store here in Pontiac, IL, since 2021. We boast a Barbie room with over 300 Barbies on display and we have a wide selection of items in the museum, as well as for sale, including dolls, toys, games, music boxes, and more. We started this business because we wanted to provide a unique experience in our community, and there isn't anyone in the area that has the types of items that we do in the condition they're in. We’re looking forward to partnering with Dwight, Chenoa, and Bloomington consumers to continue to offer a premier toy museum experience. The Catherine V. Yost Museum and Arts Center is a living museum and a local art center for the non-performing arts. The Yost House is a three-story, wood-framed structure built for Z. F. Yost, a Pontiac (IL) attorney. Begun in 1898, this Queen Anne-style house rests on the north bank of the Vermilion River, providing a clear view of the river below and behind the house. Visitors enjoy that same scenery today, filtered through the many trees and shrubs which offer a haven for visiting songbirds and waterfowl. Nearly all of the Yost family possessions remain in the house, some of which date back to the 1850s, reminding visitors of the rich and varied cultural interests of its inhabitants. Open to the public by appointment.
