The Corvallis School of Ballet was founded by Shelly Svoboda's first dance instructor, Robert Irwin of the Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo. After dancing with the Eugene Ballet Company for six years, Ms Svoboda purchased the Corvallis School of Ballet in 1987, renaming it The Regional School of Ballet. RSB is a member of the American Academy of Ballet. With instructors professionally trained in a different styles, including French, Cecchetti and Vaganova, our students are easily able to adapt to a variety of choreography by guest instructors, when attending workshops, and when pursuing dance as a career. The studio's goal is to provide a positive and fun dance environment while giving students a solid foundation in dance.
