Alameda's Community Emergency Response Team trains volunteers to respond in disaster situations. When disaster strikes, CERT members support first responders, assist victims and organize volunteers. CERT members also help with non-emergency projects that improve the safety of Alameda. Alameda's CERT courses are managed by the City of Alameda Fire Department and are taught by a trained team of first responders. CERT training includes disaster preparedness, fire suppression, basic medical operations and search and rescue. It's free to all residents. Get involved!
