St. Peter's Church is both an historic and a contemporary congregation. The original building was consecrated in 1767, making St. Peter's one of only a handful of pre-Revolution churches still active in our diocese. The first church of St. Peter's parish built on the present site was a wood Gothic structure erected in 1829. It was replaced in 1890 by the present stone building which was designed by well-known architect Richard Upjohn and consecrated on January 13, 1891. Today our congregation is an active, vibrant community with many ministries in which all are invited to participate. The Rev. Jan W.
