Good day, my name is Ms. Verna Montgomery, CEO, Chairperson and I have come to you with my proposal for a sports community. The majority of the children are economically disadvantaged, and come from single-family program for the children residing in the Bronx within my households, as well as larger family member households. These families/parents cannot afford to pay for their children to be a part of the sports activities and/or participate in the sports activities in New York City's five boroughs. This is primarily due to one income family member, cost and expenses for participation. The things I have observed day to day in my community are that we do not have adequate sports activities for the children to participate in and develop into successful world champion athletes.
