My name is Daniel Sims of Daniel Sims Flight Instruction and I am a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certified flight instructor based in Palo Alto, CA. I received my Bachelor's degree in Aviation with a focus on Professional Flight from San Jose State University and currently have over 330 hours of flight and counting! My goal is provide my students with quality flight instruction where each lesson is personalized, prepare them to be great pilots, and help them excel in their future careers. To this day, I have never failed a check ride, have competed against top pilots in the industry, and have received awards in those competitions.

Stanford Flying Club offers access to pilot training resources: top-notch flight instructors, modern flight training aircraft, and, up-to-date interactive flight training materials, to help you obtain a pilot's license. Our Members range from first time flyers pursuing their pilot's license, to experienced pilots enhancing their training. Stanford Flying Club was founded in 1930 at Stanford U. and is a non-profit corporation. We fly out of the Palo Alto Airport and Membership is open to the public.
Many students obtain their first Pilot's License with only 20 to 30 hours of flying time. Getting started on your flying adventure is easy. The first step is to call or e-mail to set up an introductory flying lesson. There is no obligation or requirement to join the Stanford Flying Club to schedule your first lesson.
