Dr Lalinec has 30 years of experience treating problems encountered with preschoolers and children with developmental delays (e.g.: issues with attachment, feeding and sleeping, autonomy in activities of daily living, selective mutism, encopresis, etc.). As a pediatric psychologist for 20 years, she is also familiar with issues surrounding illness, invasive treatment and dying. Her private practice has been active since 1995. Post-doctorally, she trained to understand the internal world of people who may not be able to verbalize consciously their discomfort, in order to intervene therapeutically. She relies on an integrated combination of techniques in her practice: cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, behavioral and strategic family therapy, art and play therapy.
